I have learnt certain rules from by blogging experience that very few people who actually visit the blog comment on its posts. But for a blogger it is essential that he receive comments. It not only increase the reader base of the blog but also give a moral support to the writer that his articles are actually being read and appreciated. From my own previous blogs, I have found that out of every hundred people visiting the blog only one visitor actually write a relevant comment (You will always have spam comments). I have giving out following tips, which have increased comments on the blog.

1. Make it easy to write comment

It is not desirable that you keep some registration before commenting. Though it’s a good way to prevent spam but unnecessary delay will always deter readers from commenting.

2. Write on topics that people are speaking about.

When you write about news that is on primetime you don’t need to publicize your post much. People already know about it and searching more information.

3. Don’t tell everything yourself

Make it sure that you keep some information that readers can add. If you write everything on the topic then nobody has anything more to add.

4. Try to ask comments from the readers.

It is the best and clean way. Ask readers to make comments. This makes readers actually feel important and they write.

5. Reward readers who comment.

Make a list of readers who commented on your post and send them a note of thanks. This increases your social life also. Make your readers your friends and ask their suggestions.

6. Always be open to ideas

Don’t support any particular view when you are writing the post. Comments can come from both sides; publish both to show that you appreciate all view points.
