Joseph Biden- Democrats Vice Presidential Candidate

The Democratic Party set the stage for a historic transformation in US and the world by formally nominating a young African- American senator, Barack Obama, as its presidential candidate. The nomination was a mere formality, but the party contrived to put stagecraft and statecraft together in an unforgettable show to give Obama a united platform. The last whiff of discord in the party vanished when former President Bill Clinton followed his wife Hillary Clinton by pulling his weight behind Obama. Obama later got a boost from his vice-presidential running mate Joseph Biden, who invoked his working class roots and foreign policy expertise in a prime time speech to plug the weakness in Obama campaign. Joseph Biden, arguably on of the poorest politician in America with net assets less than $150,000 which even includes his home. He still commutes by train everyday Delware and Washington. Biden said “I am here for everyone I grew up with in Scraton and Wilmington. I am here for the cops and firefighters, the teachers and assembly line workers-the folks whose lives are the very measure of whether the American dream endures.”
