Going Places
My life has taken me to different roads. I have traveled to many places, though none international and so well known, but these small places often unknown to majority provides the calmness and soothing that each traveler wants to have at the end of the day. Mostly these places are non-commercialized. You won’t get big plush luxury hotels; even at times you may hardly get a hotel. But enjoying such adventures, bring backs pleasant memories.
I will like to share to most important principles that I follow when I travel. First, always travel in local public transport. This rule must be avoided only in places where terrorist attacks are prevalent. The best thing for those places is not even thinking of going there. Otherwise public transport lets you to interact with locals. That enriches your knowledge about their culture and practices. Second is always try local food after obviously checking it’s hygienic enough to consume. Local foods help you to gauge the cultural mingling of different communities. Say, in Kolkata you will always find noodle shops on the footpaths. If you ever try them, you will realize though the dish is Chinese but there is a flavor of Bengali cuisine attached to it, to satisfy the palate of the locals
